Description
Description
SEPINOV EMT 10-Type Copolymer is a pre-neutralized acrylic/taurate rheology modifier used to build fresh gels, cream-gels, and emulsions with satiny sensory properties. The polymer combines water-phase thickening with emulsion stabilization and does not require the separate neutralization step associated with classical carbomers.

| Functional Category | Pre-neutralized rheology modifier / emulsion stabilizer |
Mechanism of Action / Technical Function
The copolymer contains hydrophilic acrylate/taurate segments that hydrate and expand in water, creating a three-dimensional polymer network that increases continuous-phase viscosity and yield stress. Hydrophobic association and interfacial effects can assist stabilization of dispersed oil droplets. Rheology therefore depends on hydration, polymer concentration, electrolyte environment, and shear history.
Formulation Guidelines
Disperse gradually into water under sufficient agitation to avoid fish-eyes. It can be used in cold process systems, but complete wetting must occur before high levels of salts or actives are introduced. Avoid dumping into a pre-thickened phase. In emulsions, establish the polymer network before or during oil incorporation according to the selected process. Electrolyte tolerance is useful but not unlimited; evaluate each concentrated active package.
Compatibility & Stability
Monitor viscosity using defined spindle/speed/temperature, appearance, air entrapment, syneresis, centrifuge stability, and heat/cool cycling. Excessive high shear after full hydration can change rheology. Compare type-grade performance against the actual formulation rather than assuming identity with the branded reference.
R&D, Scale-Up & Quality Control
R&D qualification of SEPINOV EMT 10-Type Copolymer should include SEPINOV-type powder dispersibility, hydration completeness, viscosity, and air entrapment. For manufacturing scale-up, define and control powder addition rate, shear window, electrolyte timing, and conditioning time rather than transferring only the ingredient percentages. The batch is technically acceptable when the gel or emulsion reaches the specified rheology without fish-eyes, syneresis, or delayed viscosity loss.
