Description
Description
BioStine HP-Type is a biomaterial system combining Euglena gracilis-derived polysaccharide with hydrolyzed collagen. The material is used in skin-conditioning and age-support formulations where film formation, hydration, surface smoothness, and a protein/polysaccharide technical story are desired without relying on a single low-molecular-weight active.

Mechanism of Action / Technical Function
The polysaccharide fraction functions primarily through water binding and formation of a hydrated surface film that can reduce rough sensory perception and improve immediate skin feel. Hydrolyzed collagen contributes a mixture of lower-molecular-weight peptides and amino-acid-rich fragments that increase humectancy and substantivity. The overall mechanism is therefore physicochemical and biomaterial-based rather than receptor-specific: hydration, film formation, and deposition support a smoother and more conditioned skin surface.
Formulation Guidelines
Dissolve gradually into purified water with moderate agitation and allow complete wetting before combining with the remaining aqueous phase. Avoid dumping the powder into a highly viscous batch, which can trap incompletely hydrated particles. Cool-down addition is preferred when the formula contains heat-sensitive companion actives. In emulsions, incorporate into the aqueous phase and confirm compatibility with the preservative and electrolyte system. In clear serums, evaluate haze because protein-polysaccharide complexes can respond to salts and cationic ingredients.
Compatibility & Stability
Monitor clarity or opacity, color, odor, pH, viscosity, and microbial quality. Protein-containing materials can interact with strongly cationic polymers, high electrolyte levels, and extreme pH. Preservation must be validated on the complete finished system because biomaterial-rich formulas can increase preservation demand.
R&D, Scale-Up & Quality Control
For BioStine HP-Type Powder, incoming and in-process QC should control dispersibility, color, odor, pH, and microbial status. Release the formulation only after the protein/polysaccharide system shows no haze increase, odor drift, or microbial instability.
Packaging, Shipping & Storage
Supplied in a sealed aluminum pouch. Keep tightly closed, dry, and protected from elevated temperature and humidity. Minimize repeated opening in humid manufacturing environments.
Estimated Delivery: 10–15 Business Days
Applications
