Dissolve in purified water or a controlled aqueous premix. Maintain a mildly acidic formulation environment and avoid prolonged high-temperature processing. Incorporation during cool-down is preferred. Because Kojic Acid readily oxidizes and can discolor, consider chelation, oxygen management, and a compatible antioxidant system. In emulsions, add through the aqueous phase after the batch has cooled. Avoid uncontrolled contact with reactive metal ions.
